Solar eclipses of Saros 129 all occur at the Moon’s ascending node and the Moon moves Southward with each eclipse.

  • The series began with a partial eclipse in the Northern hemisphere on 3 October 1103.

  • The series will end with a partial eclipse in the Southern hemisphere on 21 February 2528.

  • The total duration of Saros series 129 is 1424.38 years.

  • The longest total eclipse of this Saros will be the 58th on 25 June 2131 which will last 3 minutes 43 seconds.

  • The Saros is composed of 60 eclipses of which 39 are partial, 29 are annular, 9 are total and 3 are hybrid.
