  • The series began with a partial eclipse in the Southern hemisphere on 19 September 1541.

  • The series will end with a partial eclipse in the Northern hemisphere on 29 December 2893.

  • The total duration of Saros series 146 is 1352.26 years.

  • The longest total eclipse of this Saros was the 26th on 30 June 1992 which lasted 5 minutes 21 seconds.

  • The Saros is composed of 76 eclipses of which 35 are partial, 24 are annular, 13 are total and 4 are hybrid.
