Solar eclipses of Saros 130 all occur at the Moon’s descending node and the Moon moves Northward with each eclipse.

  • The series began with a partial eclipse in the Southern hemisphere on 20 August 1096.

  • The series will end with a partial eclipse in the Northern hemisphere on 25 October 2394.

  • The total duration of Saros series 130 is 1298.17 years.

  • The longest total eclipse of this Saros was the 30th on 11 July 1619 which lasted 6 minutes 41 seconds.

  • The Saros is composed of 73 eclipses of which 30 are partial, 0 are annular, 43 are total and 0 are hybrid.
